OGRC series
Overview
OGRC series nodulants use ferrosilicon as the main raw material with an optimum composition of magnesium, calcium and rare earth to achieve stable reactions.
Characteristics
The OGRC series are firstly developed by our holding company Osaka Special Alloy Co.,Ltd.
The best ratio of Mg、 Ca、RE、Si.
Specially developed for the pour-over process.
Spheroidizing reaction is stable.
Functions of alloys contained
Moderate Mg alloy content can stabilize the composition, and achieve a strong spheroidization ability. ( Mg contents: 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, 8% etc.).
The RE elements can desulfurize and degass, purify molten iron, and eliminate anti-spheroidizing elements.
Ca can reduce the MgO in the nodulant, and also reduce the tendency of the large chill caused by rare earth elements. An appropriate quantity of Ca will react with the oxygen element first to delay the sudden reaction of Mg, thereby slowing down the outbreak time and improving the intensity of the spheroidization reaction.
Nodulants of different rare earth elements: RE (common rare earth elements), high-purity La series, Y series.
Package
In 25kg bags then in 500kg or 1MT bulk bag.
Granularity
The standard particle sizes are 5-25mm and 5-30mm. Customized particle sizes are available depending on user's application.
