Purpose
Gray iron parts with walls of uneven thickness, especially parts of no intention to high eutectic clusters and with requirements on shrinkage porosity and leakage.
Characteristics
It has a significant effect on preventing chill and features a long effective inoculation time.
It does not increase in the number of eutectic clusters, and can prevent casting defects such as shrinkage porosity, which are not found in other inoculants, and enable it to produce high-quality castings.
Its pretty low content of AI and Ca makes it easy to dissolve, and can significantly reduce casting defects caused by dross and shrinkage cavities .
Usage
The standard dosage is 0.2-0.4% of molten iron
For every 1% added, Si content will increase 0.7%.
