Overview
Creeping agents (Vermiculizers)are additives that are added to molten iron to obtain a worm-like graphite structure.
Characteristics
Ladles with grooves are often used. It is an important condition to have a stable and economical production of worm-like graphite.
Usage
First mixing half of prepared CALBALLOY inoculants with CVALLOY # for the pour-over process, and adding the other half of the inoculants during ladle switching.
Evaluation
Microstructure comparison of step blocks with different wall thickness: Using CV ALLOY No.1 vermiculizer, the vermiculating rate of step blocks with different wall thicknesses are as follows.
1）Step blocks after using CV ALLOY No.1 
2）Microstructure Inoculating with 0.3% CALBALLOY after processing with 0.8% CV ALLOY No.1 
3）Microstructure 7 minutes after vermiculating with CV ALLOY No.1
